Student Organization Re-recognition Process

1.Make sure the person completing the paperwork for your organization has ALL of the needed information as outlined by the recognition application (see link above). You will be using an ONLINE RECOGNITION DATABASE, where you will be asked to input all necessary information into an online portfolio for your organization. After the application is completed you will be 99% recognized.
NO PAPERWORK WILL BE TURNED INTO OUR OFFICE (so that nothing can get lost) – it will all be entered online by someone from your organization!

2. The Recognition Application spring deadline is: MARCH 13th, 2009; 4pm.

If you do not complete EVERY section of the online application (including complete membership/officer information), your Recognition Application will will be considered incomplete. There will be NO SECOND CHANCES to get this information to us, so please fill out the application only when you are prepared, but before the deadline.

3. Await final confirmation of your organization’s recognition status, which should come no more than a month after the recognition deadline.

PLEASE NOTE: EVERY student organization MUST participate in the Recognition Process EACH year.

• If your organization misses the Recognition Deadline, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RECOGNIZE AGAIN UNTIL THE NEXT FORMAL RECOGNITION PERIOD!
• ALL groups recognizing this spring will not have to re-recognize until the following spring.
• As a Recognized Student Organization, there are many benefits that are available to you (these can be viewed by clicking the link below). It is important that you realize that if you DO NOT recognize this spring, ALL OF THESE RESOURCES WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO YOU UNTIL YOU RECOGNIZE – in other words, your benefits are lost IMMEDIATELY upon completion of the springRecognition Process. This includes FUNDING and OFFICE SPACE!

Please understand that NO DEADLINES WILL BE EXTENDED!
