Organization Recognition Process (for initial recognition)
Contact
the SOS Coordinator to set up an initial meeting.
After
you have met with the Coordinator, you will receive a link which
will allow you to complete the online Recognition Application and
to upload your constitution.
Make
sure the person completing the paperwork for your organization has
ALL of the needed information as outlined by the recognition application
(see link above). You will be using an ONLINE RECOGNITION DATABASE,
where you will be asked to input all necessary information into an
online portfolio for your organization. After the application is
completed you will be 99% recognized. NO PAPERWORK WILL BE TURNED INTO OUR OFFICE (so
that nothing can get lost) – it will all be entered online
by someone from your organization!
Complete
ALL sections of the online Recognition Application. If you do not
complete EVERY section of the online application (including complete
membership/officer information), your Recognition Application will
go before the Organization Oversight Committee as incomplete. There
will be NO SECOND CHANCES to get this information to us, so please
fill out the application only when you are prepared.
Await
final confirmation of your organization’s recognition status,
which should occur no more than a month after the application is
submitted.
PLEASE NOTE: EVERY
student organization MUST participate in the Recognition Process EACH year—next
year, your organization will follow the directions for Re-recognition.

that NO DEADLINES WILL BE EXTENDED!
