Student Organization Recognition Process

Starting a new student organization or maintaining the recognition status of an existing student organization at UNH is a fairly simple process. Listed below are step-by-step overviews for your convenience.

PLEASE NOTE: The Recognition Process has changed from previous semesters. You MUST follow these directions EXACTLY in order to maintain your recognition/become recognized—make sure you follow the directions that pertain to your organization’s recognition status (i.e. Re-recognition or Initial Recognition). If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the SOS office by phone (862-4764) or e-mail Jessica Smestad, SOS Coordinator, at jessica.smestad@unh.edu. NO PIECES of the Recognition Application can be left blank when you engage in the online module!

It’s as easy as 1-2-3! Please read carefully!

Read over these documents: Recognition Application and Constitution Template . Review all components, and make sure that you have all of the information in these documents updated, organized, and in one place (be it in a Word document on disk, or in notes that you make for yourself either by hand or in a Word document that you then print off). You should have your Constitution on a CD or pen drive so you are able to copy and paste it into the online module.
