Introduction:
The University of New Hampshire Memorial Union Building is the official State War Memorial. As the "heart of campus", the Memorial Union
provides services, conveniences and amenities to enhance the quality of life
at UNH. With a staff dedicated to promoting and facilitating a warm and friendly
environment, the Memorial Union makes a significant contribution to a sense
of community at UNH.
As part of its educational mission the
Memorial Union staff provides students with a range of learning opportunities
including its leadership development program, internships, and employment
opportunities.
The Memorial Union staff will always keep
in mind the value added by the Memorial Union to the university community
while effectively and efficiently managing the physical plant and its services.
Through regular assessment and evaluation of its goals and objectives, the
Memorial Union staff ensures that high professional and ethical standards
are maintained in the delivery of programs and services.
Mission:
The Memorial Union staff develop and provide
programs in support of the academic mission of the University of New Hampshire,
focusing particularly on a wide range of learning opportunities and experiences
that reflect the values of the university. Also serving as the official State
War Memorial, the building's physical surroundings and its services support
a sense of community at UNH.
