Student Greek Life Intern Position Description

The Student Greek Interns will report to the Coordinator for Greek Life (CGL). The main components of this position include working with Greek organizations, planning and implementing programs, assisting with communication initiatives, and performing administrative duties. These duties are consistent through all of the intern positions, as are the duties for projects that the Intern team will collaborate on together. In addition, each of the Student Greek Interns will be assigned specific “project responsibilities” that they must coordinate individually, though they may work with other Interns or ask for the assistance of other Interns.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:

* Staff the Leadership Center reception area each week and help with administrative tasks such as copying, delivering mail, answering phones, etc.

* Attend weekly Intern staff meetings, monthly Leadership Center staff meetings, and one-on-one meetings with CGL.

* Serve as the Leadership Center liaison to a group of assigned Greek organizations. Meet with these assigned Greek Organizations.

* Provide assistance to Greek organizations in areas such as program planning, leadership development, communications, marketing, etc.

* Assist with Rush and recruitment activities.

* Assist with the Student Organization Recognition Process each semester, which may included facilitating Recognition Sessions.

* Facilitate Greek Life Information Sessions at the beginning of each academic year and other training sessions and programs.

* Attend at least one MUB Staff Employee training session each semester (in addition to the mandatory trainings held at the beginning of each semester).

* Assist in educating the university community about the benefits of involvement in Greek Life through publications and programs.

* Assist with G-PEP and Greek Awards.

* Assist in staffing MUB programs/events as needed.

* Other duties as assigned.
