MANAGER POSITION DESCRIPTION
The job as a Building
Manager is a management position that offers students an excellent
opportunity to gain experience in many different areas of the Memorial
Union Building.
Responsibilities
Include:
* Overseeing the daily operations of the building;
* Cash management and accounting;
* Event management duties greeting clients, taking care of
hospitality needs, answering questions;
* Oversight of the various operations in the MUB Information
Center, Games Room, Ticket Office, Mailroom;
* Touring the building and handling problems according to the policies
and procedures;
* Acting as a liaison between the users of the facility and the various
operations which serve them with a focus on customer service;
* Room Set-ups for major events, meetings and conferences;
* Maintain and monitor equipment in the building;
* Completion and filing of shift, event management, accounting, incident
and maintenance reports;
* Provide additional coverage when necessary;
* Open building to the community;
* Secure building at closing;
* Attendance at all staff meetings and training sessions;
* Other duties as assigned.
* These duties include any special projects that staff members may
ask you to do. A staff member will clear the specific task before
you are assigned to do that duty.
Qualifications:
* University of New Hampshire degree candidate;
* Leadership or management experience;
* Customer Service Skills;
* Ability to problem solve and make effective decisions relating to
building security;
* Excellent communication skills;
* Ability to work with a large team;
* Flexibility

Mandatory Meeting - Thursdays from 12:40 1:40pm.
